BARBER Cello Concerto
A Cleveland Orchestra commission by Allison Loggins-Hull and Alisa Weilerstein’s rendition of Barber’s technically demanding yet infinitely rewarding Cello Concerto take center stage in this captivating program, conducted by Music Director Franz Welser-Möst. We visit flutist and Daniel R. Lewis Composer Fellow Allison Loggins-Hull in her Montclair, NJ home to hear about her musical path, her creative process, and how current events inspired her musical consideration of the American National Anthem. In Cleveland, Weilerstein joins Loggins-Hull to exchange notes about the program and share their experiences as mothers working and touring in the field of classical music.
