BARTÓK Suite from “The Miraculous Mandarin”

Hungarian composer Béla Bartók’s ingenuity is on full display in this exciting recording of the String Quartet No. 3 (arrange by Cleveland Orchestra violist Stanley Konopka) and the Suite from “The Miraculous Mandarin.” In both works, says Music Director Franz Welser-Möst, “Bartók creates a new musical path forward by masterly combining influences from folk tunes and elements of the avant-garde.”
