MOZART Symphony No. 29 TCHAIKOVSKY Symphony No. 2, “Ukrainian” Tchaikovsky considered Ukraine a second home and refuge, and he began work on his Second Symphony while staying just outside of Kyiv. One of his most joyful compositions, this symphony creatively incorporates Ukrainian folk songs. Paired with this masterwork is Mozart’s Symphony No. 29, a lively work featuring bright, dynamic orchestration whose melodies interplay between strings and woodwinds.
